Choosing to have a reading is a very personal decision, and it’s completely natural to have questions or feel a little unsure about what to expect. This page is here to offer gentle guidance and reassurance, answering some of the most common questions people ask before their first reading. My aim is to create a calm, supportive, and comfortable experience, where you can feel at ease and confident every step of the way.
Do I need to prepare anything in advance?
If you book a 1:1 session with Lucy in your home, we kindly ask that the environment is quiet and free from distractions. You may have objects and photographs of your loved ones who have passed to hand if you wish, as Lucy sometimes likes to use her psychometry abilities where possible. If you wish to record your reading, this is at your own discretion.
If the environment is too noisy, Lucy will have no option but to terminate the reading, and no refund will be given. In very rare circumstances, if no spirit connection is made, a full refund will be provided.
Will I receive negative or frightening messages?
No. My work is gentle, compassionate, and never fear-based. I do not deliver messages intended to scare, upset, or pressure you in any way. Any guidance shared is offered with compassion, care, honesty and respect.
What if nothing comes through during my reading?
Spirit communication can be subtle, and every session is different. If messages come through in a quieter way, I will always explain what I am sensing and share whatever feels relevant and meaningful. There is no pressure or expectation placed on you.
Do I need to believe for a reading to work?
An open mind is helpful, but you do not need strong beliefs for a reading to take place. Many people come simply curious or unsure. Spirit communication happens in its own way and does not rely on belief alone.
Can I ask specific questions?
Yes, you’re welcome to ask questions if you have them. Some people prefer to let the reading flow naturally, while others have particular areas they’d like guidance on. We can work in a way that feels most comfortable for you.

Absolutely. Everything shared during a reading is treated with complete confidentiality and respect. Your privacy and trust are always honoured.
Do you offer phone readings?
Yes, I offer phone readings for those who are unable to attend in person, for clients from overseas, or for those who prefer to receive a reading from the comfort of their own home. Phone readings are just as personal and meaningful as face-to-face sessions.
